Welcome to Little Thailand's home on the internet. Little Thailand is a full service family owned and operated restaurant located just off highway 71, across from the Garfield water tower, in Del Valle, Texas. The restaurant was first opened in 1981 and was located near Bergstrom Air Force Base. Dick moved the it to the current location in 1995 when Bergstrom Air Force Base was closed and the construction of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) forced him to relocate. Dick Simcoe, the proprietor passed away 11 June 2009 and will be missed. You can see more of his story by checking our links page or checking the "Our Founder" menu to the left. His shoes cannot be filled but his wife Surin is going to keep the restaurant open and continue serving authentic Thai food. Check our links page for direct links to reviews.

Surin, the restaurant owner/operator and Malee the Chef are sisters both born in Thailand. Surin has worked with her husband, Richard for over twenty years operating Little Thailand. Malee has prepared Thai food for over forty years and has worked with Surin since 1995. Charley, Holly and Tammy are Surin's children and Zack who at times works as the bartender is Surin's son-in-law. Zack and Holly are in California now. Tammy and Charley are helping with the restaurant.

Surin and all the staff at Little Thailand would like to invite you out to visit with them and enjoy an excellent Thai meal prepared by people who have been cooking Thai food their whole lives.
